Russia’s Pechora LNG investments may reach $12.5 bln
MOSCOW, Oct 30 (PRIME) -- Pechora LNG, a joint venture between Russian oil major Rosneft and Alltech Group, may require U.S. 5.5 –12.5 billion investments depending on whether the owners of the plant want it to have a capacity of 4 million tonnes or 8 million tonnes per year, Technical Director Viktor Okorokov said Thursday.
“We plan to consider two options of the plant construction: with 4 million tonne of LNG capacity and with 8 million tonne annual capacity. The costs will stand at $5.5 billion or $12.5 billion,” he said.
Under an agreement between Rosneft and Alltech, Alltech will contribute operators of licenses for the Korovinskoye and the Kumzhinskoye gas condensate fields with combined gas reserves of 160 billion cubic meters to the joint venture, in which Rosneft will receive a majority stake.
